Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses

The surgery has an experienced team of practice nurses lead by our Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Suzanne Geraghty. 

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners - The ANP's are all highly educated registered nurses who have undertaken further training and qualifications to provide complete clinical care to the practice population.  They will use their expertise to assess, diagnose and treat (including prescibing medications if required).  The can manage both acute and long term illnesses and refer on as necessary including arranging of any additional tests or investigations.

Our Practice Nurses will see patients for health promotion and support with management of long term conditions.  The also offer contraception advice, blood tests, dressings, injections and blood pressure checks. They can refer patients to other healthcare professionals as appropriate.

Please inform reception why you need an appointment as the nurses could be the most appropriate clinician for you to see.

Health Care Assistant - HCA

The Practice employs a trained Health Care Assistant, who is responsible for taking blood samples and has also been trained to carry out other services.

Community Treatment and Care Services - CTAC

We have a HCA and treatment room nurse providing support to the practice nursing team and may see you in some cases.
