NURSING TEAM

Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses

The surgery has an experienced team of practice nurses lead by our Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Suzanne Geraghty. 

The Nursing Team are all Registered Nurses who have undertaken further training and nursing qualifications and who provide nursing care to the practice population via their own appointment system.

They will see patients for general advice, health promotion, asthma care, family planning, well woman and well man checks, support with self management of long term conditions, blood tests, dressings, injections and blood pressure checks. They can refer patients to other healthcare professionals as appropriate.

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners run Clinics each day and are qualified to prescribe a range of medications. Please inform reception why you need an appointment as the nurses could be the most appropriate clinician for you to see.

Minor Illness Include:

• Asthma
• Chest Infections
• Ear, Nose and Throat Infections
• Females for Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)
• Gynaecology Problems and Contraception
• Simple Sprains
• Sinusitis
• Skin Problems Including; Rashes, Shingles, Eczema, Acne etc

Health Care Assistant

The Practice employs a trained Health Care Assistant, who is responsible for taking blood samples and has also been trained to carry out other services.
